On 23 June 2015, Pontianak State Polytechnic and University College of Technology Sarawak (UCTS) agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). As we know that mutual cooperation made by universities has become something incorporated in their daily academic activities. It’s nearly impossible, running a university without making cooperation with other parties, especially in order to implement the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (three missions of universities), in which a university should serve as a world of education, research and public services.
The signing ceremony was held at Polnep’s rectorate building, Pontianak. It was conducted by the Director of Polnep, Ir. H. M. Toasin Asha, M.Si along with his counterpart, Deputy Vice Chancellor of UCTS, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Sabarudin Bin Mohd. The event was also witnessed by Polnep Deputy Director I and II, Heads of departments and study programs and a group of student representatives. Meanwhile for the UCTS delegation, Utin Roziana and Esther Siong, UCTS Marketing Officer were in attendance.
The signed MoU will be effective for 5 years to be implemented in academic activities for mutual benefits between the two parties covering students, staff and lecturers exchange, visiting professor, joint research and other academic activities.
